      I had a mare that had serious reactions from vaccines in which a leg would swell and after 10 days blow out the bulb of her foot. My integrated holistic veterinarian figured it out. So we stopped all vaccines which corrected the problem. Unfortunately, I was coerced into selling her, and discussed with the new owner that the horse could NOT have vaccines due to the diagnosis by my Vet. Well she went and gave this mare everything under the sun. The horse suffered for 6 months with legs swelling, rotating leg from leg. And to date she never received any treatment from an integrated vet to treat what done to this horse. Unfortunately I can’t afford to hire a lawyer to get her out of there. And there are laws that protect for neglect, however lack of officers to enforce and a back log. How many animals suffer due to ignorance? Too many…

      It’s heart breaking. What I can suggest is that you send the mare your love. And think positively about her situation and the person. Every day think of her being happy and healthy. You never know what the power of love can achieve.
